YOUR PHOENIX PARK GUIDE

A little knowledge.
A richer visit.

Get to know the landscape beyond Dublin’s busy centre. Start with what you would like to see, how you want to explore and the wildlife that shares this beautiful space.

More than
an open space.

Over 700 hectares of parkland, with Dublin’s story woven through it.

Created as a royal deer park in 1662 and opened to the public in 1747, Phoenix Park combines monuments, working residences, gardens and wildlife. With a little planning, you can make the most of its wonderfully varied landscape.

Choose a few highlights, allow time between them and check current access notices before setting out. A bicycle can connect more of the landscape, while a local guide gives those places their context.
